My Life at P.E.S

This year is a very important year of my life. This is my last year at Pt England School, i am gonna miss that school. It is my last time in that uniform. I really enjoyed hanging out in class with my mates and the best teacher Ms Tito.

I am really gonna miss my friends but not that much. Because I live on their street and we are very close. My best friends are very kind indeed, they are very talented, sporty and other kind of different things.

I would like to say a THANKS to all those teachers who supported me in everything I tried hard in. Thanks for helping me, when i’m stuck on something thank you for everything you taught me.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Next year I am attending Tamaki College. It is gonna be awesome cause I know it is.

Reflection

Having a netbook connected to the internet helped my learning  this year. It really helped me learn my 12x21 times tables. I really enjoy using the internet because it helps people when you're stuck or if you need help.

We don’t just learn from our teacher’s, we discover it by ourself. One day I was planning to bake cupcakes with my little sister Jessica. The only thing was we didn’t know how to bake, so I decided to go on the internet to discover how to make cupcakes.

This year my friends taught me using an Ipad. They taught me this site called ‘’Bomb It’’, it is a game when you kill a robot with bomb’s.

How I helped kids this year. I helped a few, playing sports, Hyperstudio and other things.

I am good at managing myself, thinking and also participating.

Nelson Mandela

From his birth in 1918 until 1941, Nelson Mandela lived on the Rural Eastern Cape. He went to university of Fort Hare, Nelson Mandela studied first for a Bachelor of Arts at the Fort Hare University.

Nelson Mandela stood up to his country (South Africa). He told them it wasn't fear for the black people, which they all hated their life's, because it was a formal split. He change the world from being a split by specking the truth out. One of Nelson Mandela quotes - ''No one is born hating another person because of the skin, or his background or his religion. People learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite''.

My fun times in the Holidays!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! goes the radio, as the bass was up loud. Listening to Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball while we were in the car going to pick up my Aunty (Noreen). Going down a deep hill, everybody went quiet until Stop party time by Afroman came on.

And all you see was my cousin (Karen) bogging on the left side on the seat, Nek Minute all of us started to boggy hard and cracking up but the cars at the back and on the side of us was looking at us and stared for long, like in our heads we are saying (‘’what just have fun’’). Later on everybody was so tired we needed water!

So we stop at Burger King to have a feed and went back on the road to pick up my Aunty. Finally we got to my aunt's work in Mangere, we were 15 mins late so she was angry because she was waiting at work for us.

But we still had fun!

Basket ball

As we walked into Selwyn College Basketball courts we saw lots of colours representing schools, I was so amazed. Seeing lots of people,  warming up made me and our team nervous.
It was like we were gonna come 5th in our place.  But our plan was to beat our boys because they came 3rd.

It was time for us to warm up on the court. We done a shooting line and a rebound like the shooter shots into the hoop and then the rebound person gets the rebound.
I was the main shooter in our team and the others were the defender’s.

Finally it was time for our first game, we were all warmed up and we were all ready to play B-ball known as Basketball. As we said our cheer, we went to defend our player but the rule was 1 on 1. The bell blew as we were all started to call for the ball. My partner was very good, it looked like she played repts. Everybody was so hot, sweaty and also desperate for water.

‘’Few’’ I said to my friends, because it was a hard and fast game. I finally understand what it feels like playing Basketball.

FInally it was the finals we won all our game to make it into the finals we thank the lord who put us into the finals. Dribbling the ball up and down the court made everyone tired, because the ball was going up and down into the hoop and there we go 5 seconds on the clock as everybody started to play faster, finally the hooter went as all of us started to cheer because we came 1st. :)

I wrote a little song for all of the people who likes basketball :) hope you enjoy
Lyrics
NOw Basketball is our favorite sport,
I like the way they dribble up and down the court.

Cross Country

''On your marks, get set, and Go'' as Mr Burt said, as all the Yr 8 girls all started to jog in one pace but some girls sprinted of like wild animals. As I ran out the gate it was slimy, yucky and also muddy. I couldn't run as fast as I could because the mud was slowing me down, like I had bricks suck towards my feet. Luckily my cousin Alexandria catch up to me and so we just jogged together. Finally we were on our last lap but I was so tired, which I didn't want to try my hardest I just wanted to have fun.

Finally I got to the finish line, crossing the finish line with 6th place huffing and puffing.
''FEW'' I said to Roezala as she ran up to me and started to hug me.

Takitimu cheer
''Ahahr You know who we are, Takitimu Takitimu Takitimi x2

Going to Matariki (Trail Lights)

Walking into the Maybury Reserve saying, ‘’WOW this is cool’’ to Serena as she says to me ‘’I think the fireworks starts at 9:00 on the dot’’.  Walking straight on to the new path they put their, Seeing lots of people walking past us until we saw Ata and Dillon it made me and Serena think (there must be lots of Pt Englanders there). We stop and stood there to have a chit chat with the police because ‘I wanted to know much about how to become a police women’.

It was 8:45 and everyone was placing their chairs and blankets on the grass waiting for the fireworks to start. Everyone screaming and shouting with there mates and family. As it was 8:59 everyone was already ready for the fireworks, As the man who was speaking on the mike cofone told everyone to start the countdown, everybody was so overwhelmed. Shouting and laughing counting down from 10 once it hit 1 everyone said ‘’Happy Matariki Day’’.

‘’PING PING’’ go’s the fireworks in the air as everybody were like ‘’WOW thats a cool’’ and other things. It was awesome. Once the fireworks stopped everybody thought it was time to leave but N O the fireworks was still going. As it was time to leave everybody was saying that ‘’That fireworks was better than towns?’’.

Prospective Students

The boy felt determined and nervous while he was climbing the deep towering mountain. Thinking in his head, “Phew finally I made it, I can see the dojo up ahead, I hope I
make it in”.Standing in front of the enormous door made him anxious,, trying to improve to the Sensei that he could do better, he sat down and meditate for (Day and Night). The boy got ready to do his karate lessons so then he stood up and suddenly kicked the door opened.

Para 1:
The boy felt determined and nervous while he was climbing the deep towering mountain. Finally the boy made it up to the top, with his muscles aching feeling exhausted. Thinking in his head, “Phew finally I made it, I can see the dojo up ahead, I hope I
make it in”.

Para 2:
Walking steadily he thought about what should he do once he
gets there. Standing in front of the enormous door made him anxious, as the sensei opens the door slowly and quietly, suddenly he pointed at the sign. So then the little boy thought wrong.

Para 3:
As the boy turned around sadly disappointed with his shoulders dropped and his head fell. He really looked upset once he was walking back. Trying to improve to the Sensei that he could do better, he sat down and meditate for (Day and Night). The boy was still meditating when the Sensei came out slowly and the boy stopped, but the Sensei still pointed at the sign, the boy thought all along that he was saying ‘’GO AWAY’’.

The boy got ready to do his karate lessons so then he stood up and suddenly kicked the door opened.
